Tamedia acquired a majority interest in Neo Advertising
Zurich, 28 February 2018 – As announced, after obtaining the approval from the Federal Competition Commission this past September, the media group Tamedia acquired a majority interest of 51 percent in Neo Advertising, effective as of today.
Established in 2003 in Geneva, Neo Advertising is a leading Swiss provider in the out-of-home market today and operates and markets approximately 12,000 digital and non-digital outside advertising spaces in the German- and French-speaking parts of Switzerland. With Neo Advertising’s evident expertise in the out-of-home advertising market on the one hand and Tamedia’s extensive marketing competence and significant penetration on the other hand, the two companies are a perfect fit. Together they intend to drive the Swiss market for out-of-home advertising forward – particularly in the digital sector – and create new and innovative cross-media campaigns for their clients with the combination of print and online advertising.
Neo Advertising will continue operating with its current team of 53 under the management of CEO Christian Vaglio-Giors. He and the other founding shareholders, co-founder Alexandre de Senger and entrepreneurs Nicolas Giorgini and Philippe Moser of Geneva, will furthermore continue to hold their respective interest in Neo Advertising.
