Dr. Pietro Supino has been Editor and Chairman of the Board of Directors since May 2007. He was elected to the Board of Directors of Tamedia in 1991. He began his professional career between 1989 and 1998 as a management consultant with McKinsey & Company and as an attorney at the law firm Bär & Karrer, before he and his partners established the Family Office Bank Private Client Partners in Zurich. He also serves as Vice-Chairman on the Boards of Directors of Espace Media Groupe AG and Presse publications SR S.A., member of the Boards of Directors of Le Temps SA and the Swiss news agency Schweizerische Depeschenagentur AG as well as member of the Steering Committee of the Swiss Media Association. Pietro Supino completed his studies of law and economics with a doctorate from the University of St. Gallen. He also holds a Masters from the London School of Economics and Political Sciences.
Tibère Adler

Tibère Adler is member of the Board of Directors since May 2011. Tibère Adler studied jurisprudence at the university of Geneva and earned the license to practice law. He graduated the Executive Development program from the renowned management school IMD in Lausanne as well. After practising law and being legal advisor with the western Switzerland editors association Presse Romande, he joined Edipresse and worked in various positions: legal advisor, head of human resources, administrative director, secretary general, director Edipresse Online, vice-executive director and chief executive director of Edipresse Switzerland. He headed the entire Edipresse group as chief executive director from 2005 to 2011. Tibère Adler is independent members of various Boards of Directors of Swiss enterprises. He is Honorary President of Médias Suisses in Lausanne, the association of private medias in French speaking Switzerland.
Martin Bachem

Dr. Martin Bachem has been a member of the Board of Directors since May 2010. Martin Bachem completed his studies in economics at the University of Zurich with a doctorate and undertook finance-oriented training programmes in New York and Chicago. He began his professional career in 1985 as a capital market specialist with J.P. Morgan. From 1990 to 1994, he headed the Risk Management Advisory Services department at the Swiss Bank Corporation, before being appointed Chief Operating Officer of the Investment Banking Switzerland area in 1995. In this function, he coordinated the merger of the investment banks of the Swiss Bank Corporation and the Union Bank of Switzerland in Switzerland. In 2003, he assumed global responsibility as Chief Operating Officer of Group Human Resources at UBS AG. Martin Bachem has worked freelance since 2007. He has also been a Member of the Board of Directors of Ziegler Druck und Verlags-AG since 1985 as the representative of the founding family and Chairman of the Board of Directors since 1995.
Charles von Graffenried

Charles von Graffenried was elected to the Board of Directors in June 2007. He completed his studies as a lawyer and notary in Berne. At his father’s notary office, he became an entrepreneur and expanded investment services, portfolio management, and real estate and trust services into the current Berne-based Von Graffenried Group (GR). The group, entirely owned by him, consists of four subsidiaries: Von Graffenried Private Bank, GR Real Estate, GR Trust Office, and Von Graffenried & Cie. Recht. Charles von Graffenried continues to provide investment advisory services, mainly to private clients and family-owned businesses. He is also Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Berne-based media company Espace Media Groupe AG, which he built up from its early beginnings, as well as publisher of BZ Berner Zeitung and Der Bund. Espace Media Groupe AG has merged with Tamedia AG.
Pierre Lamunière

Pierre Lamunière has been a member of the Board of Directors since May 2009. After completing his studies in the USA (MBA Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania) Pierre Lamunière joined Edipresse Group in 1977. From 1987 on, he headed the company as General Manager and in 1998 he was named Chairman of the Board of Directors and Chief Executive Officer. From 1997 to 2002 Pierre Lamunière served on the Board of Directors of Swiss Post. He is President of Lamunière SA and its subsidiaries. Pierre Lamunière is also a member of the Management Board of the International Federation of the Periodical Press (FIPP) where he served as Chairman from 2007 to 2009. Since March of 2008, he has been on the Board of Directors of Banque Cantonal Vaudoise (BCV).
Konstantin Richter

Konstantin Richter has been a member of the Board of Directors since 2004. He began his professional career in 1997 as an assistant editor at the media trade magazine Columbia Journalism Review in New York. In 1998, he worked as an editor at Cambodia Daily in Phnom Penh. He joined The Wall Street Journal as a staff reporter in Brussels in 1999 and resigned in 2001 to write a novel entitled «Bettermann», which was published by Kein & Aber, Zurich in September 2007. From 2004 to 2005 he was Co-Managing Director of the Rogner & Bernhard publishing company. He currently lives and works in Berlin as an author and journalist and writes regularly for the Hamburg weekly Die Zeit. His second book «Kafka war jung und er brauchte Geld – Eine rasante Kulturgeschichte für Vielbeschäftigte (Kafka was young and needed money – A rapid cultural history for busy people)» is published in April 2011. Konstantin Richter has a BA in English Literature and Philosophy from the University of Edinburgh and a Masters degree from the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism in New York.
Iwan Rickenbacher

Prof. Dr. Iwan Rickenbacher has been a member of the Board of Directors since 1996. Iwan Rickenbacher began his professional career in 1975 as Director of the Teachers’ College of the Canton Schwyz. From 1988 to 1992, he served as General Secretary of the Christian Democratic People’s Party of Switzerland (CVP) in Berne. In 1992, he established his own communications consulting firm. In the year 2000, he was appointed Honorary Professor at the University of Berne. Iwan Rickenbacher is on the Board of Directors of Eskamed AG, Basel and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Lucerne-based Swiss School of Journalism (MAZ). After obtaining his teacher’s certificate, Iwan Rickenbacher studied educational sciences and graduated with a doctorate.
Andreas Schulthess

Andreas Schulthess has been a member of the Board of Directors since May 2007. He began his career in 1993 as a part-time working student in the Human Resources Department of Tamedia. After completing his university studies, he became an IT business consultant in the year 2000, specializing in new technologies and e-business at Applied International Informatics and Cap Gemini (Switzerland) Ltd. During that time he also worked abroad, including one year in Vienna where he built up a new consulting team. After completing his professional training as a coach and subsequent work experience in the field of management and personal development, he returned to operational human resources. From 2005 to 2011 he has been working in the Human Resources Department of Swiss Life Schweiz AG where he headed Human Resources Management Switzerland. Andreas Schulthess graduated from the University of Zurich in 1999 with a degree in economics. He also completed a postgraduate program obtaining an Executive Master of Human Resources Management from the Institute for Applied Psychology in Zurich.
