The Thuner Tagblatt carries professional, complete, and continuous reporting on everything that happens in Thun and the surrounding area and everything of relevance to its people. Comprehensive regional reporting is complemented by an extensive cover section with news and background from Switzerland and abroad, together with service offers. The editorial team is based in Thun. With origins dating back to the Thuner Wochenblatt, a weekly founded in the mid-19th century, the newspaper has been published on a daily basis since 1877, and has appeared with the title of Thuner Tagblatt since 1962.

The Thuner Tagblatt is an independent partner of the Berner Zeitung complete edition.

The Thuner Tagblatt is part of the Espace Media Division.
